Edgar Evans Cayce was born to Gertrude and Edgar Cayce on February 9, 1918. He attended Oceana High School in Virginia Beach, where he became the football team captain and Valedictorian in 1935. In 1939 he graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in electrical engineering. He was a member of the Eta Kappa Nu Electrical Engineering Honor Society.

He married Kathryn Bane (1920-2012) in Virginia Beach on June 13, 1942. They had two children.

Cayce worked for Virginia Power, formerly VEPCO, for 40 years. He served as a Captain in the Army Signal Corps during the Second World War.

He authored four books related to his father’s work, including The Outer Limits of Edgar Cayce’s Power, coauthored with his brother Hugh Lynn.

Edgar Evans Cayce died on February 15, 2013.
